Maranda Sailor

Maranda Sailor is currently an undergraduate student at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. There she is pursuing a degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice in hopes to go to Howard University for a Masters in Criminology. In the spirit of her late football hall of fame grandfather, Charlie Sanders, Maranda has revolutionized the meaning of tackling her assignment through her work as a “Good Trouble Movement” leader. She is a progressive, thoughtful, and confident Generation Z leader that has participated in over 80 movement demonstrations as a medic or chant leader since June 1. She still has her boots on the ground till this day.
Maranda’s skill setting encompasses adaptability, genuine leadership, quality social skills, and ability to perform well under pressure. Her blended experience includes interning briefly at the conservative Heritage Foundation headquartered in Washington, DC. In addition, Maranda was a youth enrichment assistant with the Detroit Police Athletic league. In terms of leadership positions, she was involved with Young Life in West Michigan which shaped her life in many ways, particularly in regards to her love for people and meeting them where they’re at. Maranda joined Christine Gavin and Co as the lead on Gen Z engagement in relation to the SHI.International program that aims to spotlight slavery hindsight, spectacularism, heroism and independence within young adult discussions. In her spare time, Maranda loves to grab a coffee or bite to eat with friends, traveling, and going on spontaneous adventures whenever she can.
